  • In May, 2005 Arthur, a Marine veteran, became homeless and came to MCVET for housing and to overcome a drug addiction. He served in several leadership positions while in the program and was a model student. Arthur graduated from Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) in 2010 with honors in Electronics Technology. He was hired shortly thereafter at National Cash Register Inc. and was recently promoted January 2014 to the Lead Field Engineer in the Mid-Atlantic Region. He is living independently

The mission of MCVET is to provide homeless veterans and other veterans in need with comprehensive services that will enable them to rejoin their communities as productive citizens.

  • Sandi Dutton, President

    BOARD of DIRECTORS
    Bio.

    Sandi Dutton, President of the Board for Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training (MCVET) brings years of dedicated experience and concern for Veterans to her position. Dutton has been a very involved member in the American Legion Auxiliary, beginning as a youth and serving this Veterans’ organization on the local, district, state and national levels. Dutton served as the National President of the American Legion Auxiliary in 2004-2005 traveling throughout the world in support of Veterans’ issues. Dutton says “my heart is with our Veterans. I am most pleased and honored to serve them in any way I can”. She is a member of Greenbelt Unit #136 who presented her with a “life membership” in 1986. Dutton is a Senior Account Executive with Summit Group in Silver Spring, MD.
  • Jeffery Kendrick, B.S. USAF (Ret)

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
    Bio.

    Executive Director of The Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training. Selected for this position in April 2014, he brings a vast knowledge of the MCVET organization; having worked there for the past twelve years as the Benefits Counselor, Facility Manager and Director of Operations. He is a military veteran (retiree), having served for over twenty years (20) years, within the Information Technology Field, as a member of the United States Air Force. Included among his many areas of assignment have been The United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, Korea, Nellis AFB NV, Andrews AFB MD, F E Warren AFB WY, and Charleston AFB, SC. Entrusted with continuing the MCVET mission of providing a vast array of comprehensive services to the homeless veteran population, he is spearheading the development of an organizational strategic plan; which will modernize and combine MCVET’s comprehensive program, and securing housing for its veterans.
